We collect the following information when you use HealthAnxiety.ai:

• Account information — email address, and the name you choose to share
• Conversation history — messages you send and AI responses, stored to provide continuity and personalization
• Usage data — episode activity, symptom patterns, and interaction metadata derived from conversations
• Device information — device type, operating system version, app version, and IP address
• Subscription data — subscription tier and transaction metadata (not payment card details)

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Personalise AI responses based on your history and patterns
• Track anxiety episodes and provide longitudinal insights (e.g., symptom trends)
• Improve the quality and safety of the service
• Manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
• Comply with legal obligations, including retaining consent records

Your conversations are processed by third-party AI models (see Section 3) to generate responses. This means your message content is transmitted to AI service providers as part of normal operation of the Service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without explicit consent.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Clerk — handles authentication and account management. Your email and identity are stored with Clerk.
• OpenAI — your conversation messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI responses. OpenAI may retain prompts per their data usage policies. We recommend reviewing OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchase history.
• PostHog — anonymised product analytics (page views, feature usage). No personally identifiable conversation content is sent to PostHog.
• Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting. May receive device information, app state, and diagnostic data when errors occur. No conversation content is sent to Sentry.
• Neo4j (self-hosted) — our graph database stores your conversation history and extracted health patterns. Data is stored in a secured cloud environment.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and conversation history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Consent records (including timestamp and version of terms accepted) are retained for a minimum of 7 years for legal compliance purposes.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Data portability (where applicable under GDPR)

6. Cookies & Analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (e.g., authentication sessions) and anonymised analytics via PostHog. You can opt out of analytics tracking through your browser's Do Not Track setting or by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

HealthAnxiety.ai is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
